Giving and Receiving Feedback

Interactive activities demonstrating a model and a process for users to evaluate feedback situations and apply a set of effective guidelines. Aim is to put in place a plan for improvement to enhance this important communicative process.

What is Feedback?

  • Information that calls attention to a problem or a potential problem
  • It opens a door to problem solving or other follow up action
  • The key to giving and receiving feedback is maintaining a spirit of mutual respect and learning

Opportunities for Feedback

  • When a situation wastes time and energy
  • When a situation impacts on classroom performance
  • When a team member makes commitments but doesn’t follow through
